Frequently Asked Questions
- What's the difference between manual and power recliners?
- Manual recliners use a lever or push-back mechanism (no power required). Power recliners have motorized adjustment for infinite positioning and often include USB ports. Both types are available in our showroom to test.
- Do power recliners need to be near an outlet?
- Yes. Plan to place power recliners within 6 feet of an outlet, or consider battery-powered models if outlet placement is limited. Our team helps with room layout during your showroom visit.
- How much space does a recliner need behind it?
- Standard recliners need 12–18 inches of clearance behind them when fully extended. Zero-wall (wall-hugger) recliners need only 4–6 inches. Measure your space, then visit our showroom to test both styles.
- Are leather recliners better than fabric for Edmonton winters?
- Leather resists pet hair and spills better, but can feel cold in winter. Performance fabrics are warm and stain-resistant. Both are excellent — come feel the difference in person.
